Come for the day or stay overnight to experience a barrier-free nature experience that awakens the senses and provides an opportunity to switch off from urban life. Our day trips and overnight respite stays are suitable for adults, children and all abilities. We spend our time immersed in nature, exploring walking trails, watching wildlife, and star gazing.

A UNIQUE AND ENRICHING EXPERIENCE

How does the Cudlee Escape work?

The day begins at PACC in Modbury, where our team of carers ensures all the participants have everything they need and are ready for a day of nature-based fun. Our carers and participants all board our purpose-designed vehicles, and we take a thirty minute drive into the Adelaide Hills to our farmhouse in Cudlee Creek.

We spend the day exploring the 22-acre property filled with trees, wildlife and walking trails. Once we’ve worked up an appetite, we cook a BBQ lunch amongst the trees and continue exploring nature through the afternoon. For those that stay overnight, we can gather around the campfire for dinner, gaze at the stars and even camp outside under the night sky.

Cudlee Escape trips are fully supported by our experienced staff to ensure that participants have a safe and enjoyable experience.

What are the benefits of a nature escape?

The sights, sounds, and smells of nature can help to stimulate the senses, providing a calming and therapeutic effect that can help to reduce stress and anxiety. It can also give a sense of freedom and independence and a chance to connect with the natural world. From exploring walking trails to visiting wildlife parks or simply enjoying the fresh air, being in nature can be a positive and enriching experience.

On our overnight stays, we can gather around the campfire, gaze at the stars and listen out for nocturnal native animals. Then, if it is suitable, we set up tents and sleep under the stars to be awoken by the sounds of nature in the morning.

Cudlee Escape offers a unique and enriching experience providing a chance to disconnect from urban life and connect with nature in a safe and supported environment.
