Having allied health services available on-site creates a more connected, practical approach to care.

At Para Ability Community Care, we are always looking for ways to enhance the support, comfort, and independence of our residents. That’s why we’re proud to now offer a range of allied health services on-site, delivered in partnership with Kinexus Care.

By bringing these services directly into our accommodation environments, residents can access professional, personalised therapy without having to travel, wait at external clinics, or coordinate with multiple providers. Everything is delivered in a familiar, supportive setting, right where our residents are.

On-site NDIS Capacity Building and Improved Daily Living Services

Our approach is straightforward: offer high-quality disability accommodations along with meaningful, accessible disability support services that truly improve daily life. Having Kinexus Care on-site allows residents to receive a more unified and consistent level of care. Therapists work closely with our support team to ensure session strategies are smoothly incorporated into everyday routines. This strengthens the connection between therapy and real-life results, aiding our residents in developing skills, confidence, and independence naturally and sustainably.

NDIS Capacity Building Services Available to Our Residents

Residents at Para Ability Community Care can now access a full range of allied health supports delivered directly on-site. Under the NDIS, these services are funded through NDIS Capacity Building supports, which are designed to help participants build greater independence and functional skills over time.

Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech pathology are each classified within the NDIS Improved Daily Living category, sometimes referred to as NDIS Improved Daily Living Skills, which focuses on developing the practical abilities that underpin everyday life.

Understanding NDIS Improved Daily Living and Capacity Building Supports

All allied health services delivered through our on-site model are funded under NDIS Capacity Building supports, specifically within the NDIS Improved Daily Living category. This funding category is designed to help NDIS participants develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible. It encompasses therapies that target physical, cognitive, and communication abilities: the building blocks of confident, everyday living.

The Benefits of On-site NDIS Improved Daily Living Services

Delivering NDIS Improved Daily Living supports within our accommodation settings creates meaningful advantages for residents and their families.

Convenience and accessibility

Residents receive therapy without leaving their homes, removing the stress of travel, reducing missed appointments, and making consistent attendance much easier to maintain.

Consistency of care

On-site therapists work directly alongside our support staff, ensuring that therapy goals are understood, reinforced, and woven into everyday routines, not left at the clinic door.

A familiar environment

Receiving support in a comfortable, known space improves engagement and reduces anxiety, particularly for individuals who find external clinical settings challenging.

Better, lasting outcomes

When NDIS Improved Daily Living supports are integrated into daily life, residents are far more likely to build lasting skills, grow their independence, and achieve the goals set out in their NDIS plan.

Achieving Goals through NDIS Capacity Building Supports

By integrating NDIS Capacity Building supports, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, into our accommodation services, we create a clear pathway toward these goals. Whether individuals aim to enhance mobility, communication, or daily living skills, our on-site allied health services offer the support and structure needed to promote meaningful progress.

If you’re a current resident, carer, or someone exploring accommodation options, our team is here to help you understand how these services can be included in your plan and tailored to your goals.
